Communication Specialist

Communication Specialist

The tasks of the Communication Specialist will be as follows:

a. Assist the Knowledge Management Coordinator on matters related the communication strategy, public awareness and dissemination of information to all stakeholders;
b. Design, implement and monitor the strategic communication campaign
c. Dissemination relevant information to the general public to increase the public awareness and public acceptance related activities;
d. Provide input to the IT/Database Specialist to maintain, update and develop the content of database and Website
e. Review ongoing public campaign activities in the government and development partner’s agencies
f. Prepare relevant note, brief, report and working paper as required on matters related to the public information and communication implementation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

The Communication Specialist is expected to possess the following task specific experience and capabilities:

a. Bachelor (S1) degree in communication, social science or management with at least 7 years of relevant experience; an additional master’s degree (S-2) in relevant field will be an advantage
b. Experience in public sector projects with at least 3 years experience in the communication aspects of it;
c. Having general knowledge of Indonesia's government structure and budgetary procedures as well as Government and international donors project implementation systems
d. Familiarity with the formulation of policies and strategies and community participation.
e. Sound English language capability (written and spoken), presentation, and report writing skills.
f. Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision and to operate effectively in a team environment.
